Random thoughts on Life, Leadership, & Messy Spirituality

Welcome to my Blog!

Well, I am entering into the world of blogging. This is something I have wanted to do for a while now – but could never seem to find the time to do it. Fortunately my schedule has eased slightly with the addition of our Family Life Pastor – Aaron Gable. Yo Aaron – you rock!

My hope and prayer is that this will be a forum where I and others do not just blather on endlessly about nothing, but rather this will be a forum where we can share what God is up to in our lives, what we’re learning, and how we’re growing spiritually.

I also hope for this to be a venue to help me as a leader communicate where God is leading our church, why and how we do what we do, and to help you all be “in the know” as to what I’m thinking and dreaming about.

My plan is to update this blog once or twice a week – so stay tuned – & let the dialoguing begin!

How cool, I’m finally first in line for something! I think your blog can be a great tool for our church. I’ve noticed that text is sometimes more to the point than one on one communication. It cuts through some of our wit, charm, spontaneous reactions, and social skills, and leaves us with what we really want to say, sometimes things we might not even say in person.
This Sunday was great! The message was very stirring and thought provoking , the worship team was on, I can’t imagine a newcomer not being glad they came.

I agree with everything Joe mentioned in his post! I am one of those “newcomers”. My fiancee and I have visited Eaglepointe several times now and aside from the Christmas Story, which was fun and a blast to experience, yesterday was by far the service that had the biggest impact on both of us. While we are not sure if we ever become members, we enjoy each visit and look forward to next Sunday already!

Kris – that’s how it starts. Enjoying the message and the kindness of the people is just the beginning. Howard has a unique way of delivering the message that engages people. I particularly have been inspired. I hope that you and your wife come to experience the same.
