Eagle Pointe 2.0 (Part 2)
If you missed Part 1 of this series please be sure to read it – “Eagle Pointe 2.0 (Part 1)”
Today I want to share with you about our NEW Eagle Pointe website. We have always viewed our website as a tool. A tool to communicate who we are and what we’re about, a tool to give people an idea of what they can expect when they visit, and a tool to let people know what is going on and coming up here at Eagle Pointe. While we loved the old website and greatly appreciate Tim Brooks & other designing & maintaining it – this new website takes things to a whole other level.
With our new website we can really increase our effectiveness in communication. On the main landing page there are the top handful of things we want people to know about. On the “who we are” page/tab people can find out just about anything they might want to know about our church. The “next steps” page is my favorite! Here people can find out what their next step toward Jesus, here at Eagle Pointe, might be. Whether it’s attending a service for the 1st time, attending “pizza w/ the pastors”, volunteering on a team, getting in a “life group”, getting baptized, or attending our Momentum leadership/volunteer community events. In addition to finding out what their next step is, they can get more info & sign up right online. It also shows how to follow/connect with us through social media. LOVE IT!!!
Our “family ministries” page makes it a whole lot easier for parents, kids, & teens to find out about the environments & events that pertain to them, as well as, being able to sign up for things. As a parent of a high schooler, middle schooler, & a preschooler I know this is going to help me greatly to know what’s going on for my kids.
Our new missions page does a great job of detailing all of our church’s local & global mission work. There are also links to more info & videos for each.
Our “messages” page will soon be up with videos of services and access to Itunes/mp3 audio files of our messages.
We also have a great page which tells all about our weekday preschool and we have the online giving page.
Our hope and prayer is that this new website will dramatically improve our communication with our church family and our community – that it will be a tool that benefits those attending Eagle Pointe – and that it is a great window for those who want a glimpse of who & what Eagle Pointe is – before they give Sunday morning a try.
Please take the new website for a test drive, check it out thoroughly, and let us know what you think. Invite your friends to check out your new church website & ask them for some feedback as well.
